Biography

This blog explores environmentalism, literature, film, cancer, and mothering. My writing here is an exploration of some key topics in my forthcoming book, Ecology of Education: A Memoir. I am Director of the Sustainability Studies Program at Stony Brook University and Director of Environmental Humanities, and a Professor of English, Sustainability and Gender Studies. I write for magazines on topics related to ecofeminism and environmental justice. Previous books include, Colonial Women (Oxford University Press) and Rereading Aphra Behn (University of Virginia Press). My website includes much more content and also this blog. Feel free to migrate there: http://www.heidihutner.com or to my work website: http://www.stonybrook.edu/commcms/sustainability/
